Good evening all!

I’m offering a pair of complete front struts out of a ‘69 2800cs that appear to have some older bilstein HD inserts in them. Strut tops are quite worn. Spindles are in really nice shape, I don’t notice any pitting or scratches. I’m selling these as cores for rebuild. Offering them at $300 for the pair, happy to ship at buyers expense. I’m in Denver - for those who might want to pick up locally.

Thanks for looking!

You should check the bolt size, from our FAQ:
  • Front struts and steering arms change at 2800CS 2270032 and 2800CSA 2280010 to accommodate change from m8 to m10 lock wire bolts.
If from a Euro e9 there were a lot built before Sep 1970 for the US.

Hi Chris! I’m new to e9’s, so this is really helpful info! Thanks. I recognize your user name from the 2002faq, I’m pastelblau02 on there. I’ll check this out tomorrow and will update the ad.

For those keeping score, these struts utilize m10 hardware for the lower lock-wire bolts. Hoping this helps!

Also worth noting that these are 36mm bilstein HD’s and not 40mm inverted monotube strut housings as found on carb CSL/Alpina cars. If they are they would be in route to me already.

That’s correct. I noted that in the ad!

I do have a set of inverted bilstein rear shocks (Alpina/CSL style) that I would consider selling, if anyone is interested.
