Stan I am a BMW CCA member and I filtered on the classified section "Classic" and there are three E9s listed;
* one is $1,500
* the other is a 2000CS for $29,900
* finally a 1973 3.0CSi for $33,000

Nothing for $45k listed under "Classics" anyway - am I using the wrong filter?

I am amazed that a very basic and highly-patina'd 2002 is easily asking for $20k... seems the appreciation of a well sorted 2002 is getting a bigger market than the E9/CS

p.s I too am a lover of the 2002tii

Liking to hear that as the 2002 is getting a few things done. I think a 2002 Ti clone might be nice if I don't leave it stock.

Bought my '73 Tii, Vern, in 2010, I'm ahead of the curve. Great car very reliable and a blast to drive. You guys need one of these. Totaly different than a luxurious powerful coupe. 8)

I and my son currently have 4 roundies we have purchased in the South West ready for restoration. Have 2 more under wraps that we need to go pick up, also a 74 tii ready for resto. None of the cars are ready for the road, just ready to be re done. Oh well, better than an IRA

Blanks ready for resto are the best investment. I can't believe how long it takes to restore a car. If I ever had to pay anybody, I certainly would not see a return.
