I just bought the car 5 months ago and my simple upgrade to a 5 speed turned into a crankshaft issue, but has now turned into almost a complete engine job. I took the head off today and the valves were caked with junk. The injectors were filthy as well. The wiring harness had some bare wires covered with electrical tape. I have 2 questions. 1- Any hints where to pick up a wiring harness and at what price. 2- Can I clean the injectors or should I simply buy new ones, and where can I buy them and at what cost. Thanks in advance for your advice. Jeff

I don't know where you can get the wiring harness but Walloth & Nesch (www.wallothnesch.com) sell the injectors at Euro 119 a piece :!:
This is expensive stuff :?
Perhaps you can get these cheaper in the US

There are many places that can service the injectors .. which would likely cost you $30.00 each plus shipping. I use a company regulary that does a great job with quick turn around, http://www.rceng.com/

I'll venture to guess that the wiring harness for that engine is the same in any BMW that used the 3.0 in that error with injection, not just a Euro car, so including Bavaria.

Good Luck,

3.0 Bavaria's and 3.0S are carbureated. 3.0Si is injected and only available in US 75 & 76 and it was L-Jet not D-Jet like you need. Early 3.0Si for European Delivery were D-Jet or you might find someone converting a 3.0Csi to a different injection system. The connectors and components are different from one injection system to another.

CSi FI Sensors

apparently the throttle position sensor and vacuum sensor on my son's CSi are shot. Anyone have any thoughts on where to get these, or know how expensive they are?

Thanks,

another injector service option

Another injector cleaning/testing service...

http://www.witchhunter.com/

will also give you a printed pre- and post-cleaning evaluation, for $18 each. A friend has used their service for injectors and found it very efficient.

I have no affiliation, etc....

Would be interested if anyone could assess these two and report their relative opinions.

Mesa Performance sells rebuilt injectors for about fourty bucks each exchange.
Thanks to all of you. This will be one of my winter projects. The Weather Service is predicting a bitter one, will spend time in the garage with heater on blast furnace setting.

FYI, the throttle position board probably needs attention also. Ton at [email protected] makes them (or did in 2017.) Reasonable price, I bought two from him, very nice work. Search for him.

Is it possible to buy new injector wiring harness?

Try these guys, i think some Forum members have used them...I believe you need to supply your harness as a core ( for plugs etc )
