3.0 CSI leather colors

Looking again in the books, I found those revisions which will give a good idea of recommended combinations (K is kunstleder / S is Stoff /L -leather).
Disregard the pen crosses on charts (deleted versions)
I tried to post them from the older to latter (?).

The trick is leather was available "auf wunsch" which means on demand and thus available on any external color (matter of taste !!!), as chart shows.

I think all references are in..
Have a good game !!

D-jetronic,
Very impressive!
Thanks for you sharing pics of this goldmine of yours.

K32/31 interior

Thanks for posting this guide. I have the K32/31 vinyl interior which is badly cracked. I would like to update the interior. Does anyone know a source for this vinyl or should I just work toward a color match with new vinyl or leather?

You can request a sample (about 2" square) from both World Upholstery and GAHH. You can then match that up with your current upholstery (in a place where the sun has never faded it), and select whatever matches best. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to get a sample. I know GAHH sells both upholstery kits and just vinyl or leather 'materials'.

Both those companies have a black basket weave only that looks like what was found in the 2002, a linear and small, tight pattern, the rest is solid or perforated. No one else makes the unique basket weave in any color found in an e3 or e9 that I am aware of.

DJetronic - WOW, thanks for posting this. It 'should' be helpful, but I'm not able to decipher it very well.

Can you interpret for me what the recommended (by the Munich Munchkins) leather upholstery color was for a Granatrot metallic body on a '74 CS?

THANKS for all the help.

Gary,

Here is another photo of the six leather colors from Marc. As he said, they were special ordered so at the discretion of the buyer. In the case of US coupes, Hoffman made those decisions. The charts (vinyl) show that Granatrot was recommended to have the same color as Malaga which in most cases is the darker brown although it could have the lighter brown or even black. I examined two euro Granatrot cars in the last couple years, one was black velour, the other light brown. Hope this helps.

Thanks Chris. I'd looked at that chart, and it seemed to show only 0010 (grey block) as the color on CS's for the Granatrot paint. And, I couldn't find any charts that showed an 0010 leather/vinyl.

I'm planning a tan-brown color leather, but it probably will be a MB or Porsche color rather than the BMW colors shown here.
