I don’t know yet. But, most of them in Iran are five hole, since they would have been imported before 78.
I have a nice set myself, marked BMW, Alpina and dated around 73, and by Keshav’s estimation to be series 3

Interesting detail is the color of the center; it is not black but seems to be a dark grey, just like the Wheel Faq topic predicts.

I think the series 3 with BMW logo were gray, Keshav should verify this.

That is correct, last series of the Alpina 7x14/ 5 hole rims had grey centers.

I continually amazes me that these cars are all over the world and still many in excellent shape!
