Famous Bat coming up for sale…….

should be interesting to follow ... will be curious to see how it unfolds. on the surface, one would think it would soar past the estimate of 300k / 400k euro if it was selling a year or 2 ago, but will the allure of the 57 Bat 2 get it higher. we saw #57 sell in 2022 for 600k (Munich) with non-matching numbers.

i have seen evidence of 33 of the 57 in the ancestry project. has anybody ever seen 4355001?

i just looked up 031 and some some interesting owners - Christian Neureuther (West German olympic skier) + Yannick

Every single thin gauge panel is on that car and an authentic documented Alpina 260 hp engine in there. Yannick was as fastidious as any Csl owner could be and insured that an impeccable restoration was done under his Regie.

thanks Keshav for the update. seems a bit lower than i expected, especially considering its past history + provenance.

Just short of 450K$ once all the taxes and commissions are met. This one is surely one of the prominent 4355‘s, a true works Batmobile with every single correct thin gauge sheet metal and an Alpina B2 engine documented.

For posterity sake….

i know that 057 sold in 2022 and i believe it had a non-matching engine ... 600k. less known about provenance, just a better market to sell in and the very last Bat2. while i don't have a lot of sales data on recent bat2 sales, to me, the buyer of 031 bought well. i was expecting 450k - 475k euro plus taxes + fees. @Keshav, you are right ... with all of the work done by Yannick and the documented Alpina B2 engine ... this has to be one of the better bat2 out there. we know how amazing 033 is, which also has Yannick heritage as well as @Gerrit.
