There are some e9’s currently on display at Motorworld in Böblingen/Stuttgart. Seen a few of these at local races but nice to see them up close. Thought some of you might enjoy the pics:

Neat and thanks!

Any chance of a interior/cockpit pic of the early Alpina race car #7??

I think I have identified all the interior shots to their respective cars....don't think I see one for that car.

TIA!

The orange and white-sided cars both have pedestal mounted door mirrors that look like Sebring style. Do you have any idea where they can be bought? Thanks, Drew

Re: the 'Sebring' style mirrors...a funny tale.

My brother went to that style mirror after he started going over 120-130mph on track....the flag style mirrors just started to 'fold' inwards at speed from their aerodynamic inefficiencies.

Wondering if mine will 'fold' now... ;)

We had a good laugh when he first experienced it. Progress!!

The mentioned mirrors look very much like the Engelmann mirrors that I had in my E10 when I was teenager. The Google seems to find a source from them.

SamiA--I have searched Google and I can only find the Sebring style mirrors that don't have the pedestal that's mounted to the doors. I actually had the fender mounted Sebring mirrors on my 1969 Fiat 124 Spyder. That was in 1970. Now I would like to find the mirrors that are on these 2 CSL cars.

Sami--I did not find any mirror that would fit on the car like the ones on those 1970's CSL's in the photos. The Engleman mirrors were used and would not work in regular traffic. The Sebring style mirrors available new do not have enough adjustment angles to work either. Here's a pic of the new style mirror on a 1980 Ferrari 308 that was at a recent car show. The only adjustment is at the base hinge.

Drew--
What might be the reason for you think the Engelmann mirrors would not work in the public traffic? You did notice the ball type adjustment in them? It should give you enough adjustment? That should not be an issue.

Well anyway, good luck with the search.
