5spd transmission for sale

Interesting…for those of you wit experience, what are the main things to look for/look out for in picking up one of these transmissions. Of course they are all second-hand and I suspect in most cases it’s hard to know the full history of the trans since the car it’s from probably passed through a few owners. Barring obvious rust all over the thing, are these pretty reliable over the 100k miles most of them are likely to have at this point?
 
Ah, I had emailed about it as well. Didn’t realize you were planning to buy it. It sounds viable, I was waiting for confirmation on 260 vs 265 since I didn’t really want dogleg configuration.
 
Certainly appears to be a desired 265/6 transmission that is an overdrive and has a detachable bell Housing.
 
Ah, good purchase, looks like you got to it just before me . Let me know if anyone finds another. Hal thinks he may have one but always good to have backup options
 
I have a getrag 265/6 in San Diego. I'm doing a 3.5 swap and 5 speed swap. Was going to use this one but my friend/mechanic has another he's already tested in a car so we're gonna use that one instead. We were gonna put this in and test it before selling it, but not sure when that will happen.

Let me know if interested. 3.3 Motor with webers will also be available and a 4 speed as well.
