Any takers before it goes in the dumpster? 69 block out of my 2800. Motor ran but had a head issue. Lower end seems fine. Piano top pistons. Head is off a 72. Was supposed to be good but had low compression on a couple cylinders. Might just be deposits and crap in the head but I didn't investigate and went with a M30B35 instead.

I'm near Sacramento if anyone wants it. No shipping.

I would think the head would be of value to someone with an original 72 engine, I have my original and a spare plus what's on my car now otherise I'd be in :D

The block matches the VIN of the car I have. Do you guys think it would ever matter enough for an E3 to have matching numbers? Should I keep it with the car just in case?

I personally don’t think that a matching number motor in an e3 is going to make any difference unless it were a ridiculously nice and unrestored example.
