'70 auto E9 / 2800cs for sale in Northern California:

NMNA. A '70 auto E9 / 2800cs for sale in Northern California:

We had several postings in the last year about an E9 in NorCal that wasn't well maintained. I think this is a different car.
Oooh, yes JP….likely a different car as Seller in this Ad feels like he is honestly transparent and as 4th owner of car, its mostly very well cared for….darn, I’m tempted (never had e9) but current bmw projects (73-2002-baur, e23-745, 76-3.0si, 74e3-bavaria, 69-e3-2800, 76-e10-2002)…do i want to somehow buy this, my 1st e9 and doesn't feel like a “project “ at all…. JP, are you close to this guy ? Best wishes…in Bucks Cty PA now until sunday Thomas

This one has a great history being a California car its whole life and family-owned since 1984. Though more pictures would be needed of the critical bits, could be a great deal if not crusty.

this car was owned by Roger Lake in Livermore in 1984. its the only reference i have on the car
It is still owned by Roger who was my old boss from fifty years ago at Lawrence Livermore Lab. He’s a real do it yourself car guy with a small collection of mostly British, but some German cars. We are still friends and it is time for another visit with he and his wife.
I also live in Livermore and saw this CS a couple of years ago. It appeared solid, but could use the cosmetic refreshing of paint, bright work, engine bay and trunk you would expect from a 55 year old driver.
I’m out of town in Europe until Wednesday next week, but would be glad to help if I can. Contact me directly if you want to coordinate something.
