Found instructions for making this version on automotivelife.nl. Easy to avoid valve head collision and can be used on m10 heads as well.

i have a question as to the original tool
what is the use of the wooden piece that can be seen here arrowed n green?

Also, my microfiche notes two different 6-cylinder versions of the wooden piece, for M30 or M20 engines.

I think both versions are pictured in the photo on the previous page.
Notice that the spacings on the upper wooden pieces (not circled in green) are different than the circled piece.
