'71 2800 on BAT

ya know, w/a lowered suspension and 16" (at least) wheels/tires, that car would be a $75k car.

Presentation is everything and w/that stock homely color, w/its stock suspension and wheels, it's not going to get the big $$$ unfortunately.

Tom is solid. I knew this car before Tom had it...was garaged for a long time (in a good way), so its finally been awakened from its slumber, and I happen to love its humble, loveable, shoe-shine car-look. Next owner can bring the bling if desired. Best of luck on the auction guys.

She actually DOES look solid.

Q:

Where that rust is, is there supposed to be a seam or joint there of some kind?

No intention of disparaging this car. I am in process of a 265/6 install and have a couple questions.
1. On the header pipes shouldn't there be a hanger and if there isn't hanger will there be an issue? I am planning on a hanger to replace the original one.
2. Other than it being more difficult to bleed the clutch slave cylinder, is there an issue with the orientation? I have mine with the fluid line up as per the RealOEM pictorial.
Thanks

I fabbed an adapter piece for the stock downpipe bracket to attach to the tranny mount. I bleed the slave cylinder detached from the bellhousing, it doesn't like to be bled in that position.

Thanks Steve. I have the slave mounted with the inlet up and hope to bleed it in position. I found this method for the exhaust hanger on the forum (don't remember who posted it) and will use the old parts (modified) with M8 threaded rod.

If I was about to buy a BaT car, this color would win with me over a Polaris car hands down. And these stock wheels are better than the later ones by a hair and head and shoulders above later BMW wheels. IMHO.
