71 Malaga, sunroof, AC CSi on e-bay...WOW!

Something strange, did euro coupes have seatbelt warning light on dash, no door card access holes for window motors? Lots of overspray. Front bumper irons look like 1973.

This one is local to me. I may drop by to check it out - if for no other reason than to get a feel for how these drive considering I am looking to pick one up. This example does not look like it should bring anything close to $65k.

My CS is a euro car (2204650) with a mph speedo and no rear fog.
I knew all euros did not have rear fog lights but was not aware some came with a mph speedo. The ventilation and A/C controls also seem to have text in English (mine only has symbols).

I think it depends on how it was imported/federalized. My CS was originally slated for Italy. I don't know when it got to the US.My CS has symbols also, and reflectors front and rear. My CSI has no reflectors. It was the better car of the two at some point in its sad life....

Early cars had symbols in the US as well. Not all euro coupes got rear fogs, none on RHD coupes in fact. Markers get added, removed, cars repainted.

The complete centre console with heather/AC equipment is from a '74 model, or younger.
Even the 4 window switches are.

The heather unit did have symbols till the end of '73.
After that they came with the written ones.
Either in German or Englisch.

This entire console is not matching to this car. So build in after.

And there are no AC components to find in the engine bay....

The quickie inner fender paint job with overspray on the simple items to remove is a concern

Not quite: Window switches changed Feb/Mar 73, heater controls had English in the US in 73 and perhaps earlier.

Seller claims the VIN is 2280309 which to me makes this originally a 2800??

Beyond the typical test drive items - anything to watch for with the 3.0?
