Tend to agree with E911 here, its something you could have fun in for a little while and then restore back to original one day.

Although I could not put up with the Trunk, you will see it has to be changed, and I would constantly be showing people the things that are wrong especially the color. As I understand, there was never a black car in the first 169….I could be wrong, but that is my current understanding.
 
Black...

is easy to match- I'd remove all the "updates" (spoilers) including the Motorsport stripes and drive it hard knowing that a sympathetic restoration back to the original color is part of the plan.

It's amazing how much easier it is to own and drive a Lightweight car when it's not "perfect".

The biggest problem I see with this car- it's out of balance now on the "expectation game" sell price versus real value in present condition.

An all black ultralight with a hot engine would be a pretty cool car.
