Very interesting. I do not see a source in North America. Any idea on the price?
 
It is released recently so the prices are still in the upper part of the scale. Seems to be around 800 Euro minus local tax(19% in Germany)

I used a JB Weld-type material to close up the holes, then quite a bit of sanding, and then painting with structured paint. Took several tries to get it right, very happy with the result.
 
The differences between the two units you showed above is that one (the longer one) is for cars that have AC. The AC evaporator fills the space where that little wood tray is, and the short console comes forward to meet up with it, filling that space entirely.
