73 E9 CSi - Battery ?

Hello all: I have a 73 CSi and want to replace the battery ground wire - it's a weaved strap type - it's old and not installed in the neatest method. I'd like to replace it...

Is it correct to assume that any decent standard negative battery ground coated wire or weaved strap (like from Pelican or Summit) would work?
