74 CS in Encinitas, CA

Been for sale for a long time, it appears to be pretty clean. But if original color is Malaga then what's up with the silver wheel arches in the trunk? PM Glenn in Encinitas to see if he has seen this coupe.

Just wondering if there is something wrong with it or is it just overpriced :???:? Asking price on ebay is $23k, on the website it is $19k. Seems to me they are trying to make some extra $$$.

Thanks for the tip HB Chris - much appreciated.

Malaga red with tan interior is my perfect combination.

Now I'm jealous :-) I have to admit though, there is something about this combination. Blue + polaris doesn't look that good...

My comments from back in June:

I drove by it on the lot on Sunday and stopped for a look. It's okay. Body is pretty straight with no visible rust. Paint is old and shows some hazing, scratches, dings, etc. Brightwork and rims are the same - lot's of patina. Weatherstripping is mostly dry and cracked. Interior looked pretty good. Dash was recovered, as were the seats. Didn't bother to look under the hood or take it for a drive. It did look very dry, but I did not check it out very thoroughly or take a good look underneath. Could be a good driver or solid candidate for a respray and small bumper conversion for the right price.

Seems odd that someone would redo the door panels then use viable screws to attach them.
Paint looks dull under the hood, maybe a two stage was used and they didn't shoot clear in the engine compartment.
