Hey gang,
Have not been on the site for awhile but now that my 74 CS is out of hibernation for the winter i am looking to start up on a few projects. One is i need to get the exhaust replaced and i do have a complete stainless exhaust coming from W and N. My other project is getting my power sunroof working. My normal shop looked at it a few years ago and could not figure out what happened to it (it has worked for most of the 15 years i have owned the car) and sent me to the local expert here in PDX. He suggested i get a new headliner, sunroof motor and cables. Is the stock 74 sunroof motor in the front or back? Is it shared with any other cars that might be easier to locate? I dont mind the headliner as might is looking pretty shabby. Any other words of advice to help get my sunroof working again?

Thanks!
Jeff in PDX

IM AN AN EXPERT ON THIS ONE
so the first thing to do is open the back zipper to expose the motor and transmission.
pull the switch to get access.
check you have power to the switch w/ the car on of course
it goes to fuse 10 if power . then connect volt meter to roof motor
hit it and see if votage most likey yes. or maybe no - most likely its just a corroded contact
then test motor motor to see if it goes
if it does -then it would be the transmission
test em and post again
also u can use a window switch to test that part
ok
