86mm Crank into 3.0 block

Are there any technical and/or economic advantages this might yield as opposed to simply transplanting an M30B35?

I've got a leftover 3.0 lump that I will probably toss unless I can realize any value from future efforts.....I'm genuinely interested in your thoughts.
 
No, I do not know any technical or economic advantages.
Reasons come to mind would be: I want to work up the original engine and also much more torque.
