a trailer for an article in a UK mag, not clear whether this is all CSLs or the 3.2 BATs. Indeed, totally unclear from this what their conclusion is based upon
i prefer the E9 above a old 911.... till a 964 , first "911" in '89 that really drives well. No more torsion suspension....as a beetle
911 prices are indeed inflated .... but it remains THE sport car mythe....recognized by everybody. Not so with a CS , yes, it is a nice car , but many people don't even know about it... and only petrol heads know a CSL.
Also strange the remark "Targa" .... if i would buy a 911 it should just be a Targa ! That a coupe has a stiffer body , can be .... but i think 99 % of owners will never feel that in their common use .... but will indeed appreciate the open roof option , as having 2 cars in 1. Yes, a coupe for track racing or rally , but sure a Targa for sunny Sunday trips .....
There's nothing wrong with torsion bars, F1 cars use them after all. They're also pretty easy to adjust on ride height, (the fronts take seconds, literally) despite the internet saying coil overs are "easier to adjust."
