99.9K in LA

76 pics and no engine shots..
Love the speaker grill.
Overpriced by 70 Large.

100K car with cheap Chinese Tires. One with a lump in the sidewall.
I thought I'd seen it all.

I like the color, the radio, under the car pictures, seems like everything was cleaned.

Do not like:
- carpets
- extra wind spoiler on wiper
- US headlights with poor fit against their trim (big gap)
- door seals really cracked

Further viewing of this vehicle I remember it being on the show room floor of Crevier BMW in Santa Ana. It was close to where the parts department is located for you that have been to this dealership.

As I recall there was nothing special about the car other than I think it was advertised as about a 30K example. At that time it was owned by Donnie Crevier and I was told it was not for sale.

Possibly later it was moved to his classic car location when he sold the dealership to Penske.

wasn't that a white 1970 2800cs? the one that got damaged when they were trailering it to coupeking?

I called dealer. They have it on consignment from a customer accustomed to high end cars. It did come from Crevier's collection and the selling point seems to be it was off the road four 20 odd years. I'm rooting for it to sell to provide data for the ongoing thread about originality...

hey,

Don't be that way...pulls $90K that can't be a bad thing in terms of appreciation.

Heck, personally not planning to buy a second coupe anytime soon. Just hope the parts suppliers don't catch the wave!

Don, how can you tell it was hit in two places and not fixed right. I am curious to know since I know very little and would love to be able to look at glossy photos like these with a more critical eye. A tutorial we all, or most of us, need.
Thanks, Steve
