when i look at the shadows under the right rear tail light, they look inconsistent, as compared to the left rear. also look at the gaps between the rear bumper and the right tail light.
the front bumper looks a little out of whack on the left front (drivers side), so does the lower apron on the left side of center.
anybody have an idea of what is going on in front of the right rear tire? in the detail shot of that tire, there is something funny at 2:00 ... might just be dirt.
the chrome trims are missing on the rear edges of the side kick panels in the foot wells (both drivers side and passenger side)
just a few of the things that i see. some of these pics were taken with a wide angle lens and are somewhat distorted. you can really see it on the pics of the front bumper where it looks like the over riders are at a weird angle - like they've been hit.
all in all its a decent car ... just not a 100k car ... nowhere close.

Since the owner is accustomed to high end cars I guess that makes my grandmother a super model since I'm accustomed to "movie stars". OK, off the road for 20 years, well grandma has been under it for about that long. Regarding originality, we can start with the exhaust tip, the re paint overall and the bleed-over on the door tag-the paint lines in black on the lower front, and Don, I'm guessing drivers rear? The trunk does not seem to fit correctly?

You mean different years had them flipped? Every old photo I have seen shows the pointy side up. Interesting.
The chrome part is identical for all years, the rubber is very different, it isn't flipped, it actually has a different shape as well. It has been NLA for decades.
i have a reasonably nice pair of the 73 over riders. i prefer the look of the 72 pieces.
As Chris said, the chrome part of the overider is the same but rubber is very different. I can't imagine why they did this, maybe to get another inch or two of protection. Or maybe, they were going for the 'dagmar' look of the late fifties cars.

The 73 has an interim 2 1/2 MPH bumper front and rear, they did the same to e3 and 2002.
The funny thing is that the interim bumper over riders on the '73 2002s look very similar to the '72 and earlier over riders of the coupes.
