the second car for 22500 looks really nice, The guy sounds like he knows what hes talking about. I know that the color is mini blue but the car looks nice like that.

I emailed for pictures on the second one. I own two BMWs and do a lot of my own wrenching, but know little about the e9 other than the fact that it is beautiful and I drool over them at the annual Deutsche Concourse. Pointers would be appreciated.

Let us know what it looks like in higher res. pictures than what is posted on Craigslist. Cars can look a lot better in pictures than in person, so if you are interested, best to go look in person. With the non-standard color and all the work that seems to have been done on the car (and likely a lot more that needs attention), best to see it and bring someone along to inspect it or bring it to a BMW specialist that knows the coupes. The listing says it is in San Jose, and I do not know of any good shops down there. There are some good ones in the East Bay like H&B and Bavarian Professionals if you want to have them look....a number of miles from San Jose though. Sounds like he replaced the floor pans due to rust, which makes me wonder where rust might be lurking in the rest of the car. My coupe had a small rust-through area in one of the floor boards on the passenger side that I fixed, and my car was a CA car its' whole life. So, having rust in this area is not necessarily surprising, but if he had to cut out a lot of it in the floor, then I wonder if it was a CA car all along, or if it sat outside a lot perhaps.

I have worked on the blue car- Nice guy and a nice car. Well worth the money.

Blue car has a very nicely redone interior, but the re-paint lacked adequate prep work IMHO.

Seemed to be a mostly solid donor car underneath from what I could see - being in work clothes.
