A good mechanic in Los Angeles??

Well, in short my veh does not start. I have checked all the starting system; ignition coil, distributor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump and all seem to be working fine. The veh turns over but it does not start so I am at all total loss.

It is injected.

I see you are in LA David do you work on these cars?

Are you talking about the distributor cap or the distributor itself? I just know it is something simple but I'm missing "it" whatever that is.

No the shaft itself. It's a 10mm mark it 1st,then loosen it and move an 1/8" one way and try to start it and if it doesn't try going the other way?

Slow down .... If you have spark then it's time to check for fuel.
Do not play with the ignition timing.

Remove fuel line going to fuel rail and stick in plastic jug.
Turn key on and watch.
Crank engine and watch.

What happened?

Reattach fuel line and crank engine for 10 seconds.
Do this 3 x.
Pull a spark plug.

What does it look like?
Is it wet or dry?

Hi Marco.
I only work on mine and then only with limited success. CoupeKing is in the Long Beach area (Wilmington) and can certainly fix your car (www.coupeking.com). I see from the other messages that sfdon is on the case. You might consider taking the next day or two and lettings folks here try to help; it will be free, it will work, and you will learn a ton.

TMASON you were completely correct. The shaft had moved so much that the timing was completely off and now is fixed thanks to you.
