I THOUGHT ID JUST ASK IF ANYONE HERE IN THE BAY AREA KNOWS OF SOMEONE THAT
CAN CONFIGURE THE LINK ECU UNIT TO MY S28B36.

I said it 18 months ago. I’ll say it again. Pull the motor. Drop in a used carbureted 3.0 lump. All within your skill set. Enjoy the car and workout the kinks.

From there you can sell the e9, sell the motor, put the motor in an e3/e12, or keep both and save the s38 for a rainy day.

IMO, the drivetrain is “the easy part” on these cars. I have PPI’d project cars and completely ignored the state of the drivetrain knowing that evaluating the chassis is the best use of my time.

Your chassis is done. Your interior is done, your wheels are done. Stick a temporary lump in there and enjoy the car. You gain nothing by uncompromising on a built motor that will cost $3K-$10K to tune.

Using all upper-case characters is the internet form of shouting, and is considered quite rude. Don't be surprised if you get a grumpy response.
 
Megasquirt has a tune for the s38 engine. I’d ditch all the antiquated links stuff and start with megasquirt. Or do what Markos suggests.
 
actually im sorry guys
i use acad all day long and its the standard format
ill be more conciderate if its all that important to you purists.
 
i cant change the motor at this time as its all set up different for the (E) unit
and im too old to be doing any of that anymore.
imports wants 20 thousand just to friggin look at it -----you kidding me!!!!!
had arnold look at it charged me 6000 just to to tinker around and adjust the valves
wanted 5k more to continue
towed it back out of there
already had a megasquirt unit and they couldnt work it out
i do have a appt at fineline at the first of year
michael how come i had a problem with the first magasquit i had in
took it to the tuner in san jose thay couldnt make it work ?
