I am thinking of modifying throttle bodies by opening them up 2mm, and of course providing a new machined flapper, to provide more airflow. Cost will probably be about $130-$135 plus return shipping. Thoughts? Don?

Please chime in with comments.

From memory the early throttle bodies were larger than later throttle bodies. The later throttle body was rated at 106% efficiency versus less than 100% for the early body. A German BMW engineer tried to explain it to me in bad English and I never understood it. He kept yelling Bernoulli ! at me. I can measure them when I get home- I’m in Texas hanging out with Peter C, going on the annual Terry Sather run and hitting the vintage races with Drew.

Had a modified one on a Porsche, also on the 3.5 that was originally in my e9. Both improved responsiveness. The bar had been ground/machined down also.
