AC Aceca looks like a DB5

Nice. My dad had one of these in the early 60's. He had many cool cars, one or two at a time. Jaguar XK120, XKE, Allard J2X, Lotus 7, Morgan SuperSport, 1923 Rolls Royce, Duesenburg. There was always something else that caught his eye.

Having seen these 2 models in person multiple times, I'd say the resemblance is mild at best. In person, the proportions and shape of the DB5 are quite different and vastly more attractive, in my opinion.

I have also seen multiple AC Acecas. And they are definitely narrower than a DB. They look great in black. And there was a gray one on the California Mille one year. I love them. Like an AC Bristol convertible, but half the price. Very heavily influenced by early Touring bodied coachwork like the 1949 Ferrari barchetta. What could be better than that?

I think I was wrong to say the two were quite different in appearance. From the rear there were numerous similarities. I think Aceca’s continue to be undervalued. To me they are an interesting alternative to a DB3 or B24. Perhaps not as refined, but it still rare, light, fast, pretty, and with great history.
