I'm into the AC conversion to modern parts (including @Blinkling 's evaporator and TXV).

I've got @Layne 's compressor bracket with a later M30 base bracket. Sanden type 508 (7D7H15) compressor with double 125mm compressor pulleys.

For you guys that have already done the conversion, what belt size and/or belt part number did you use?

I'm using a Napa 25-9330 but due to the custom nature of a/c installs this is something I fitted by trial and error to get just the right length to just slip on without requiring much leveraging the compressor out to get it tensioned. It's easy to buy a couple on either side of the size spectrum then return the ones you don't want after finding "the one.".

It looks like the original belt for the original York style compressor was 13mm x 800mm (.5" x 31.5"). I'll pick up a 31, 32, and 33. One of those should work.

I used a NAPA 25-9341 (same as XL9345) for a Sanden 709 with Layne's bracket based on the following information that I posted in the DIY section. Is the pulley size different from the 508?

For AC I used Gates XL9345 (12.5/13mm x 885mm). I have an unknown (not stock- looks kind of like yours) compressor mounted on one of Layne's brackets. @TedS

From what I have seen, (inconclusive anecdotal evidence ;)) most pulleys are 125mm. Some are smaller for low RPM diesel trucks.

For what it's worth my belt says "15310" which (by googling) I take to mean it's 31". Compressor is a Sanden 508 clone and bracket is a modified compressor bracket from some junkyard E28.

And the winner is...9335 (same as the one Chris has on his E12 with the same bracket and compressor as I have). I think the last three digits are the length of the belt in 10ths of an inch....so a 33.5" belt. I think Steve's Napa 25-9330 would probably work also.
