My coupes manual has a 3 page loose factory brochure about the AC and how it works.
I look and see that the top left lever (mine are not labeled) but on a labeled one is says L-R OFF, AIR, FAN.
The little brochure shows the lever mentioned above in the center position.
If the AC is not on you can feel outside air entering car.
So what I'm getting at is if the lever is all the way to the left "OFF" the system is closed to outside air. So looking at the diagram in the blue manuals it looks like when the lever is in the "AIR" position it is a mix of inside and outside air. Kind of like we have on a more modern car.
Does this make sense?
