Adhesive for chrome on windows

What type of adhesive should be used to adhere the chrome molding that sits on top of the front side windows? Can't get them to stay down and I don't want to bring out the bug guns (epoxies, etc) unless I need to.

I use non hardening windscreen mastic. Works fine.

I used a clear caulk called Lexel.
