Adjustment so hood goes closes without having to jiggle it

When I try to close the hood on my 1971 2800cs, I have to jiggle the hood around until it engages with the two catch or latch springs. I was told this was an easy adjustment. Does anyone have Instructions or can someone describe how to make the adjustment so the hood fully closes more easily? Thank you.

You can adjust the cable at each latch, it is important that they aren’t too tight or the cable can snap at the handle inside the car. Nothing is ever easy in a coupe!
