So there's a long story y'all haven't heard involving my preparing to take my 2002tii (the car on the front cover of my book) to The Vintage in Winston-Salem, but being felled by cooling system issues, and deciding at the last moment to take my E9 (the car on the back cover of my book). With virtually no preparation (I don't think I drove it 20 miles since returning from The Vintage last year).

Despite enough drenching rain for me to actually hear the inner fenders scream, the car behaved flawlessly on the 1900-mile round trip.

Here's to the next 27 years together... you and me baby...

What a great photo to go along with a great adventure and a great relationship. But, you need to exercise the coupe more often!

Ditto Rob!! Your CSI looked fantastic among a virtual sea of e9 beauty. Have to say this year's Vintage at the Vinyards was awesome!!

This was my time bringing the Agave Coupe and it performed flawlessly (including ice-cold A/C) on its longest ever trip. Hats off to CoupeKing, Mario Langsten of VSR1 and Lawrence of Charlemagne Motorworks for your expertise. I had a number of inquiries and made requisite referrals.

Though there were at least 15-20 coupes assembled, this is a slideshow of a few from Don Bowers: http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/dwbower/slideshow/bmwvintage2013?sort=2

What a gorgeous collection of beautiful cars - my compliments and envious best wishes. Love to see some of the engine bays if you have any.
