After removing the useless spacers--

Yes, yes its true. I am going to put the spacers on my car. I am suffering from ED (elevation disfunction). the Alpina progressive springs I put on my car left the front end too low, way too low, dare I say droopy. So, instead of putting the stock springs back on I am trying to get that extra half inch (of clearance), maybe a little more. Is that so wrong?

It won't be the first time. I did this on a 79 633 which had some Hartge springs which were really low in front. It was so low, I was worried about hitting the oil pan.

My '74 still has the spacers installed. When I put a tape measure under the rocker panels and measure at the front and rear, I find the bottom of the rocker is pretty nearly parallel to the ground. So if I take the spacers out, the car would have a nose-down attitude, which doesn't seem right to me.

I took the spacers out for a time, quite a few years ago, and that was the result. It just didn't feel right, so I put them back.

Although I don't know for sure, having the rocker panels parallel to the ground plane seems "correct".
