I found this while searching on eBay. I'm not an E9 owner, but I thought it might prompt some discussion here.

I think I would weld up an original fuel tank half filled gasoline before I would purchase this aluminum tank.
looks a bit of a 'hot mess'.

Memories of carving the Thanksgiving bird and slipping a hole in a foil pan (juice everywhere...) sort of makes me shy away from this idea...
@paul cain, a much more articulate thought compared to my initial reaction which was: damn, that things is fugly...
It would be a fuel tank of last resort. We will have to consider this alternative when the last OEM E9 fuel tank can't be repaired.
