as a few of you know im putting in the s38 and wonder what i should use as a filter as i want something bmw and not the ugly kn stuff
would the csi unit work or do i need something bigger

You should use the correct s38 air box. You'll need to move the battery to the trunk then mount the air box up where the battery was which will require removing the battery tray. Then you'll need to figure out how to mount the air box to the radiator panel. This will also require you to cut a hole through the the panel so you can get fresh cool air to your engine.

the hattery box is already gone
so it should be pretty simple
