Air Conditioning

I am just getting a 1971 2800CS going again after 10+ years sitting idle. After a conversion and a charge, the air conditioning blows cold. It seems to be pumping out a lot of dust/dirt that gathers all over the air conditioning vents.
It there a filter in there somewhere that has dried out and is now deteriorating? If not, any other explanations?

there is a T shaped duct that connects the heater, the ac evaporator and the front vents, in might that be the foam that covers that duct internally is destintegraing and comming our in bits
