Drove an Alpina B10 today, and Holy Shit! Under 10k miles, lovely white with saddle interior, and I only gave it 1/2 throttle and it scared the shit out of me. The owner was the dad of my son's fellow soccer player, and apparently quite successful. I showed him my 3.0cs, and he told me of how he had imported a 3.0cs and a 3.0csi back in the 80s. Very nice guy, but wasn't interested in swapping even......

I have a B10 engine in mine, but the normally aspirated one rather than the twin turbo. I have yet to let it have its head, but will keep people posted on here of progress.

So I looked up "Alpina B10 engine specs" and depending on whether you drove an E34 or E39, Touring or Sedan, there could be 231, 254, 275, 280, 316, 340, 347 or 375 HP engines. Which was it?

The chance of me driving such are probably negative. Heck I hardly ever see these. I did once get a quick run in in impressive early euro M6.

Just asking so I can ponder power/weight numbers and compare to my K1300GT which is similarly scary, and on which I haven't gotten past 1/2 throttle either. The bike rates 160 hp and 530 lbs, so 0.3 HP/lb, or 3.3 lbs/HP.
