As there seem to be some uncertainties on which articles you can or can't buy from Alpina without owning a genuine Alpina car, maybe I can help with my experience. There are mainly three categories of parts:
Firstly, parts specific for genuine Alpina cars, marked by an Alpina parts number in the parts catalogues. They are and were never sold without a document confirming that you own a car from this very Alpina series. Examples: B9 pistons; you cannot just buy them because you want to build a B9 engine tribute. B8 oil pan; you cannot buy it without owning a B8 just because you want to put an M60/M62 in your E36.
Secondly, Alpina parts from Alpina series that were also offered as accessories for regular BMW cars. Examples are rims, front / rear spoilers, some steering wheels. They were offered in accessory parts catalogues. These parts are still sold without any confirmation of Alpina ownership. Probably because Alpina retained the rights and machines etc. and BMW is not interested in selling historic parts.
Thirdly, lifestyle products, like leather purses, T-Shirts, jackets, etc. They were formerly available for anybody but now you need to own an Alpina and confirm this. I assume the background is that BMW will offer such articles in a current version based on their purchase of the Alpina trademark and Alpina is only allowed to sell historic Alpina lifestyle products to historic Alpina car owners.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards, Dan

It is 450 Euro directly at the Alpina shop. I love W&N but would not want to add 45 Euros / 10% to my bill just because of that... My 380mm steering wheel arrived within 2 days from Buchloe :)
