Alpina wheels and tires recommendation

I personally wouldn't roll the fenders on a CSL. While there is an appetite for modified E9's, CSL's seem to be most valuable in original form. Plus if you roll the fender, you will need to roll the rare and valuable stainless arches as well. I would start with Carl's fixed camber plates to see if that lets you clear the arch. If that doesn't work, get smaller tires and give yourself just the slightest bit of stretch.

Appreciate that advice Markos. Aside from some recent cosmetic improvements (16" wheels, front valance), my CSL is stock UK City Package car and I have all the origional 14" wheels, bumpers etc so if I ever want to bring it back to origional I can. So yeah I didn't want to manipulate the bodywork/fenders.

I'd be curious to mount up the 14's and see how it drives? Might be better driving on the 14's. hard to get good rubber for them unfortunately. 15 might be the ideal size.

Still running 14's on the Great White. Michelin still make tire$. BFG is essentially last year's Michelins. I went with them.
225 / 60 / 14 - I did have the fender lips rolled. Carl Nelson springs

Hello all!
I finally got my 74 CSi.

I would like to upgrade to the 15 inch OZ Alpina wheels.
What tires and sizes do you all recommend?
Where can I get a reliable set of wheels?
thanks much
John
Welcome John'
My son just purchased a set for his 2000cs. Not sure of the sizebut they are wider and seem to fill that empty wheel well space.
I will get a photo and size now that they are on the car.
good Luck

Regarding tire size for the CK 16 in Alpinas.

Just to be sure: is 225/55/r16 rear, and 205/55/r16 front OK?
Both sizes in 55 aspect ratio OK?
thanks!
John

You need 225/50-16 in rear if you want the same circumference and not the 225/55.

Sorry,forgot...... Im thing of Continental Extreme contact DW.
thanks
the extreme contact DW have been discontinued. you can buy them from tirerack on closeout for an excellent price. you might want to look at the extreme contact sport, which is the new replacement ... quite similar.
