I'm a little shaken, just read SFDon's post about Aearch. I hope he is ok. Something that I've always worried about. But, I'm not going to assume the worst. So, I feel like this is a trivial question but I am stressing on four little corner pieces for either the front or back of my glass for the 73 Bav. My headliner is going in, I have four corner pieces and one of the center rectangular pieces. I ordered the other rectangular piece for $20 but had no choice as we really want to get them in when rubber seals go in. Does anyone know if the corner pieces are the same for front and back, I have been told two different things. And if they are different, I really don't care, I will buy front and rear (8 total) if any of you have them, please let me know if you want to sell. I will pay to overnight, we are trying to get this done and that is all I am missing, very frustrating and also have been told BMW does not make the corners anymore, but they do make the center piece, hence the $20 price tag. Thanks for any help. For front windshield and rear glass window. I have the big pieces, I just need the little corners...If I'm not clear please just say so and I will try and explain more. Prayers for Alan

According to RealOEM, the front bottom corners are the same, left and right. Rear lower corners are unique, left and right. So not the same front to back.

WHat I am stating here applies to the post '73 cars as mine is a '76. The front corners are different and they look as pic below. Of these, the right one is (was as of 6 months ago) available. The front right and left frame pieces are available as is the "cup". None of the rear glass trim pieces are available. Both front and rear seals were recently available. I have a thread somewhere here on replacing the windshield.

Take a look at the E28 corner pieces. They are similar enough that they may be able to be made to fit with slight modifications. I'm only going from pictures...

Good call Louis, the e28 piece might work, they are soft and bendable, you would just need to use caution as to not damage the finish.

I just wish Luis would Photoshop some blemishes and change the color of his perfect car with that perfect color that I love, so I would stop my envy. Signed Riviera (I'm so ) blue.

I'm getting more and more desperate for the four corner pieces for the front and back windows. I am told left and right and front and back are all different. If anyone knows a Bavaria that is getting parted out I will make it worth your while to grab theses corner pieces and the rest of the metal trim around windshield and rear window. I don't necessarily need the big pieces, I only need the corner pieces but if you are able to take off the rest and pull the windows out like I said, I will make it worth your while. I know it is silly but they don't make them anymore and all of my resources are getting used up one by one. I will still put in windows with new rubber and the metal pieces, I just wont have the corner pieces to finish them off. So frustrating as they were on there when "we" took the car apart. So, they got lost in the shuffle somewhere between the shop and my garage. I've torn the garage apart looking for them, now it's time to scour shop where it was pulled off of one more time, easier said than done. Anyhow, if anyone has any solid leads please by all means let me know. Deadline is Friday for glass to go in so hoping to find a set before then.

Bob sent you a PM thanking you but also thank you Chris for pointing out he was local because I may not have noticed that being that I hit the BIN so fast. That will save me $20, I also asked him if he had the front corner pieces. If anyone else needs anything let me know so that when I am there I will see if he has it. Probably e3 related but if he has any e9 stuff I will have him set it aside and ask the board later if they need it. Cool, rear down, front to go. Thanks again everyone!

UPDATE: He had the front piece too, I looked on his other items and just bought it, thanks so much guys, I have been losing sleep over this for a few days. He is parting out the whole car!!! Just spoke to Bruce, I will be picking up both pieces later today, if anyone needs anything, call me at 949-632-9098 off the e3. One caveat is if I need it first I'm going to grab of course but there is very little left I need. And I will of course check on the tools, other than screw drivers and a couple tools I need I will be willing to sell the extras too.

Glad to help out. I bet you read my post so fast to jump on this you did not see my "front and back". I am a full service provider!

Your right I didn't!!!!!!!! I'm going to grab them at 5:00pm, I'll let you know how it turned out and any other gems I might find, crazy it was in my back yard, that is what is nuts. That doesn't happen every day.
