As it is often said BMW has made us a car but it is the people that make it come alive. I for one appreciate what I have learned when I have asked a question. Since it has been so long since my coupe has been restored things have changed as the vendors, parts are NLA and I have just plain forgotten important facts. Yes thanks for the help and reminders, this coupe has introduced me to so many neat folks. Amy Lester

I couldn't do this without the help of the forum and the great members/enthusiast. We are fortunate to have each other and our coupes!

This place really is like a club with no dues. I've given my phone number out to more members on here than any other forum that I've frequented over the last 15 years.

Alan - right back at you! I still can't believe that you shipped me a windshield (and it made it!).

Well, I'm pretty much a 'newby' on this forum, arriving last June. I'd spent 15 years on a Porsche 928 Forum, where there were about 125 new posts a day, and a LOT of DIY'ers posting info about their projects, and helping others with procedures. And, I was a bit concerned about 'losing' that assistance when I sold my 928's and bought my third e9 (35 years after the 2nd one departed).

I needn't have been concerned, as this forum is equally as helpful and responsive to my 'frequently dumb' questions about the best way to address a problem, or find a needed part, as I try to turn my car into a 'European appearance' machine. MANY THANKS to all who are so helpful in that task.

I have posted here before that I lurked for a long time before I jumped into the e9. The community here was great before I bought my car, and the generosity I experienced when buying my car was simply outstanding.

Participating here continues to be rewarding, and I hope that as my experience level grows, I can pay forward what has been freely given to me.

+1 certainly would have loved to have had this forum as a resourse when I bought my coupe but that was before Al Gore invented the internet.
