This 2022 750xi sold Aug 3 2022 as an insurance total on a salvage certificate. A salvage certificate is used by insurance companies as an ownership transfer document. Two months later this same car is back at the auction being sold with the same salvage certificate after "repairs". We call these "staged" cars. Sometimes their missing major components, new parts put on in front of heavily damaged parts, and we know a friend that bought a Tesla that had bricks inside the battery pack. When you complain to Copart their standard answer is, "you should've inspected the car before purchase". I'm convinced they allow previewing of cars just so they have an out when there are issues. It's the Copart way.
