I once heard a loud whistling solo rendition of ode to Joy in the public pool change room. I rounded to the corner to have a look at what the commotion was, and lo and behold was a prominent, naked Canadian Socialist Politician in front of a mirror. Not the same effect.
Once again the holidays are upon us. My wife and I just returned from a tour our "the Heart of Germany" and had the pleasure of seeing Christmas Markets in 5 towns or cities from Frankfurt along the Main to Nurnburg.
I wish all my friends a very merry christmas and hope you are all close to your families at this joyous time.
This you tube video of Ode to Joy is still available and seems to fit the season.
(Coupe Content) The Great White sleeps in her garage which is under a blanket of snow and dreams of the driving events of 2013 and the anticipation of more in 2014
After Paris, Colorado Springs, and San Bernadino, et. al., I really needed that. Never have figured out how a song of joy makes it so hard to see the keyboard. Merry Christmas to all.

That was wonderful; made my day. Stan, thanks for sharing. My niece, who lives just outside Frankfurt, just sent pictures of her recent visit to a German Christmas Market. I have got to get over there and visit her.
I too want to wish my e9 brethren time well spent this holiday season with family and friends, and a Merry Christmas.
Obviously flashmobs are kind of old hat by now but I had not seen Ode to Joy like this. I would be curious to know if this spanish/catalan version was the first one. It sure generated lots of copycats including one in Nurenberg in 2014 which copies it almost to the shot.
Wonderful stuff to watch and listen to either way.
