I'm restoring an interior for a 72 E9 in Malaga. I bought a tan, leather interior from Gaah (as close as I could find to the original color), new wood from Bela, and a new dash from Just Dashes. The main dash installation is almost complete and the seats are being recovered. My issue is carpet color. The car came with what is close to Gaah's "brown/gold". My problem is that it just seems too dark and too brown. It looks a bit depressing. Has anyone put Gaah "Bamboo" or "Palomino" carpets in their tan interiors? If so, could you post a picture or tell me what you've selected?

Thank You,

Pat

In 73 the leather in a Malaga coupe was either a darker brown or the yellow tan color I think. Which Tan did you choose? My carpet was gold beige (goldbraun?) which is in between the brown/gold and palomino carpet available today. The darker color is going to hide dirt and wear better than a lighter color but the palomino is a pretty fair match.

I have the yellowish tan. Thanks for your reply. I just realized
That my seat restorer may have a Gaah sample book. I should
go to his shop and take a look.
