Any of the CSL experts know the AS1 number for rear glass?

I have a rear glass that says M16 AS1, which I know is different from the darker tint on my front windshield and side glass, yet it still seems to have a bit of a tint. What was the number for absolutely clear glass like on early CSs and CSLs? In any case, the rear glass is for sale.

Thanks, Tom

Not a CSL. My NK has clear glass as did my former 02, both had an 85 on them which technically indicates a very slight tint but are very clear. I think that represents 85% light or maybe UV transmission.

Thanks. It looks like the NK used different types of number to identify the tint than the e9s. Would any of the CSL people read off what their clear rear glass says?....

Hello Tom,

There was aside from the plexiglass variation no specific CSL type of glass for the rear. Several manufacturers provided E9 glass overtime in different variations and tones (I saw once a CSi with a blue tinted window set!). The code of your glass indicate a clear laminated pane. Check under:

Do you have a manufacturer´s stamp on your window?

Thanks Gerrit

That's what I needed to help me. I know that the CSL had the same glass as a CS, except that I think they more often came with clear glass. I didn't know that AS1 pretty much was the clearest glass. It sure does still look tinted to me....

Ok, so I have one clear rear glass for an e9 for sale :-).... I'm moving all my stuff into another storage so please let me know if anybody needs anything.....

Tom

P.S. The glass is OEM Sekurit...
