Latest update. It's going really slowly since it's hard to work on the outside in the dark. Not worth setting up lights and it's been really cold so I'm not motivated. Windows are taking forever to scrape and paint but it's coming along. Used cedar shingles I got at an "estate" sale and the small window above the door with be stained glass when done.

I love the repurposed windows!
Yes, I lucked out finding so many the same size or similar size but they do take a LOT of time to restore. And our "restore" is just making sure the paint won't flake off and painting over the different layers. It looks better than I expected because of their old school look to begin with.

That looks killer. I have a spot picked out for one, maybe some day. I imagined a design very similar to what you built with the repurposed windows, though using shell rock on the bottom. For now, it's just a pad.

Cool spot! That's half the project right there! ;)

Lovely! Once my house is done we are going to decommission our plastic one and build a wood/glass unit. Thank you for the inspiration!

Our main use is overwintering outdoor accent plants, and starting annuals. We may opt to have a solid roof because we don’t need that much light.

Doesn't your light come in from the sides anyway? ;)
