anyone see this before?

maybe...

The ad states in two places that it has a "straight V6". That must be rare!
But seriously, I think this car was for sale a couple of years ago. Don't remember if it had the E9 Driven badge back then. PO here?

Those seats look ridiculous in this vintage of a car. Not sure how you would even price such a car.

Those are "vaders" from an E36 M3. Honestly, I think they look out of place, but not terrible. Adding the M strips all over the car doesn't do it for me though. The car looks nice, especially for the price. I wonder what lurks beneath the shiny paint...

The fine print...

Interesting that in the description that it states that there were only 411(?) made.... Must be dreaming that the csl stripes make it legit...? Why didn't I think of that?

It has both types of rear license plate lights, just like my '72 3.0 CS.
It is missing the paint color sticker and the washer bottle cover.
The emissions sticker is in the wrong place.
It has a modern oil filler cap.
A V6 engine, very nice!
Wrong pin in the door stop.
Air filter is painted the wrong color.
The headlight access panels are painted the wrong color and have the wrong retainers.
Wrong cooling expansion tank.
Missing the torsion-rod thing that holds the hood up.
Extra weatherstrip along the fenders.
Windshield wiper arms should be satin finish chrome.
I am surprised that it is a USA model without A/C.
The 411 production count is probably correct for a '72 USA 3.0 CS.

I would buy it for the headlight washer kit alone. Interesting car with lots of plusses and minuses. Especially the minus of no money shots. Steve

After looking at all the pics, it puzzles me that after apparently spending some big bux on a lot of custom stuff and retro-fitting stuff like vader seats, custom inner trunk fender liners, etc,
that so many corners were cut including the stick-on headlight wipers...

Why not just make a decent attempt to do it right... I just don't get it... DCG

That is a great a refresher on the premise of the restoration vs restomod debate. "Doing it right" is subjective. However, stick on wipers - Doing it wrong. :)

I might ad that a restomod mustang or '57 Chevy doesn't bother me in the least. With those examples, one can build a new car with over the counter parts. The same can't be said for many cars including the E9. The modifications on the car in question are reversible and cosmetic. I would be surprised if a set of factory seats are on the top of the new owner's list.

After all's said and done, it's a beautiful car, but I'd feel like weird driving a CS made to look like a CSL. It reminds me of the guy down the street who drives a matte gray 640i with an M6 sticker on the back of the trunk.

Whoops. Missed two things. H. B. Chris's post pointing out the stick-on headlight washer blades without any of the other parts under the hood. And my own glance under the hood and not seeing the missing parts. Steve

The headlight wiper system must be the rarest of the rare options. I have seen it on only one coupe. I wonder if OCCoupe has three sets to choose among for his restoration?:-P

Must also have interesting wiring for the headlights...
Or no low beam bulbs.
Or not wired properly for H1 lowbeams?..

Pictures with the headlights on show only the inner high beams are on?

Yep, didn't adapt wiring to utilize the euro H1 lo beams.

So it has fake headlight wipers that cannot wipe the outer headlights but these headlights do not illuminate either.
Is the engine a lawn mower motor?
This is so fake it belongs in Disneyland.

Somebody please describe the female companion that belongs in the passenger seat of this car. I have a restraining order on further opinions.
