Apple Carplay?

not sure how this could connect to our cars - i am curious if the touch screen could fit behind the speaker grille. have to do more research to see what all has to be done and what it could connect to for the head unit or what unit you need to have ... or if you could have an old unit modified to allow the connection

I use an iLive bluetooth receiver to connect my iPhone to vintage Blaupunkts.

I just called Crutchfield and they said that the area needs to be 4 inches tall by seven and an 8 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches deep. Does someone know if that speaker in the wood – could accommodate that? I don't think so

I was thinking of attempting to use my old Samsung Galaxy S4 to power my stereo in my Coupe. It looks like it could fit on my spare speaker grill with a bit of modification. Could run the headphone jack through a line converter right into a hidden amp (In my case an old Hifonics Europa and some component speakers in the kick panels with tweeters in my spare ashtrays. I have a Becker Europa radio in place, but it is there for looks. I also think you might be able to use your existing smartphone as a mobil hot spot if you want to stream music and not have a sim card and account on the one in the dash. A small iPad might work well too.
