Quick glo will remove the rust. I’ll show you later.
Okay this stuff works great for stained chrome. My
tools are in very poor shape. Obviously it won’t replace chrome that doesn’t exist, but it cleans up stained and even bubbly rust quite well. Works very good on bumpers. Not as well on the tools.
I did this on my way out the door. I’m out of ultra fine steel wool. They say you don’t need anything like that, but it helps for the first pass.
I’m pretty certain that I could get this wrench very clean if I spend time on it. The rust on this is actually raised above the chrome in little globules. They come off however.
What is left at this point is more raised rust that is more stubborn but I believe will come off. You just rub the stuff back and forth on a cloth.
The chrome is just gone on this wrench. the quick glo didn’t do much.
