Much respect to Andrew. He certainly drives his coupe (a lot!) and is a terrific coupe Ambassador. And lets not forget that his wife, Cindy, was with him for all of those unairconditioned! miles out and back to Monterey. Like many of us, you married up Andrew!

Well done Andrew & Cindy! Thanks for all your pictures and posts, almost like we were their with you.

My compliments to Andrew, Cindy, their car, and the excellent service they have given the car to allow it to be driven just as it would have/could have been driven in the mid 70's. I LOVE seeing classic and antique cars being driven on the road. A few years ago when Kitty and I attended the events at Monterey, the winner of class at the Concours Italiano show was driving his car across the award stage, and Keith Martin asked him about the car. He indicated it had been in restoration for 2 years, and it was completed only about 2 weeks before the event. Keith said to him "I understand you drove this beautiful car from home to here, a distance of nearly 1500 miles, is that correct". The owner replied "Of course - it is a car, and cars are meant to be driven'. I always loved that phrase!

So - Andrew you really have your car for what it was intended to do - GO PLACES!

Cheers,

You think he puts a lot of miles on Athena? Ask him about all the cross-country trips he's made in Vern... what a great 2002Tii...

How absolutely heart warming to read this travel log. I thought going to Colorado to O'Fest one year was a big deal for us. I bow down to you and Ms. Cindy! I can identify with the heat through KS and such in your "green house". What a memory for the two of you.
